A Retrospective by Eion Johnston – FRPS

This exhibition showcases a group of works of photographic art, shot and created over a period of ten years starting with Eion’s Fellowship panel.

Each work consists of a display of several photographs as his personal response to a single concept.

After the success of his Fellowship panel, he found the intensity of this approach compelling and has applied this method to much of his practice.

All the works underline the effect of a panel of stylistically similar but different images as brought particularly to the attention of the photographic world by Hilla and Berndt Becher’s work on typologies from the 1960s onwards.
