Member Competitions

Our competitions give members the chance to develop their photography, receive feedback from experts and take part in a friendly but motivating creative challenge. Across the season, members can submit work to four print and four digital competitions. Each round is judged by independent experts who provide scores and constructive comments, which many members find invaluable for improving their skills.

Competitions run across two leagues. League 1 is for photographers with experience or prior high-scoring work. League 2 is ideal for those who are new to competitions or still building confidence. Both leagues have their own annual trophies, and many members enjoy progressing from League 2 into League 1 as their skills grow.

We are also proud to of our participation and success in the Photographic Society of America (PSA) interclub competitions, with members in over 80 countries. More information can be found here

Alongside the main programme, the CD Group and the Nature Group run their own informal competitions throughout the year. These offer a relaxed way to try new techniques, experiment and get feedback within smaller groups.

There’s also the chance for members to have their work selected to represent EPS in local, national and international events. Images that perform well in club competitions are often put forward for interclub and wider photographic competitions, giving members an opportunity to showcase their work on a larger stage.
