The Round 2 results for the Photographic Society of America Interclub Competition have been announced. Thanks to all who provided images and to the judges who made our selections. A reminder that we are now in the top Group A in all three Divisions we enter (Colour, Mono and Nature). There are 4 to 6 Groups in each Division with some 20+ Clubs in each Group.

This year judging is on a scale of 1 to 9, so 27 is the maximum score for the 3 judges. PSA attributes each number on the scale with a description of the standard expected.

In Colour we have done really well in Round 2 moving up from 18th to 12th in the standings. We received 2 Merit awards – very well done to Dave Reid for “Landing ahead of the rain” and to Douglas Richardson for “Standing proud”.

We are very strong in Mono easing up from 6th to 5th after Round 2. We were awarded 2 HMs. Well done to Dave Reid (again !) for “Off road racing” and to Sam Fraser for “Palace of the arts”.

It’s good news all round as we moved up from 16th to 12th in Nature. Congratulations to David Wolfenden who received a Merit for “Puffin and company”.

I will send out certificates to the awarded members. A reminder of our entries is below.

Meanwhile we are acting as a Host Club for the judging of Round 3 in Colour.  Our 3 judges are myself, Dave Reid and Sandi McOrist.  Towards the end of April we will be judging on-line some 100 to 150 images from one of the other groups.
