Submitting Images to Competitions
Print Submissions
General
Prints may be produced commercially or printed by someone other than the member. All other aspects of the image must be the sole work of the photographer, including every component used in composites.
Mounting
• Maximum size, including mount: 50 x 40 cm.
• No minimum size.
• Prints should be mounted on board wherever possible (50 x 40 cm is preferred).
• Window mounting is recommended to reduce surface damage.
• Do not attach Velcro, adhesive pads or similar materials, as they can damage other members’ prints.
Labelling
Write the following on the back of the print, the same way up as the image:
• League (L1 or L2)
• Your membership number (not your name)
• Title
• For Nature images that meet FIAP or PSA nature definitions, add (N) after the title.
Submitting Prints
Place prints in the designated area at Great King Street on the submission date. Please handle all work with care. While the Society takes reasonable precautions, we cannot take responsibility for loss or damage.
Maximum entries per member per print competition is two. Cut-off and judging dates are published in the Events Calendar.
Note: Digital copies of your printed images must also be submitted, following the same process as described below for Digital Images. Digital images won’t be shared with Judges.

After Judging
There may be a follow-up workshop to review the judge’s feedback. Members who wish to take part can have their images opened in Lightroom or Photoshop to explore suggested improvements. These sessions are relaxed, practical evenings that focus on learning and are advertised in the Events Calendar.
