"Galleries and meeting rooms that offer a flexible, welcoming space for exhibitions, events and the creative life of the Society."
Galleries and meeting spaces
Thanks to the foresight of members in the early 1950s who purchased our townhouse, the Edinburgh Photographic Society is fortunate to call a magnificent Georgian building in the heart of Edinburgh’s New Town its home.
This beautiful space continues to support the Society’s original vision — to provide a place where photographers can create, learn, exhibit and share their work.
At the heart of the building is the Gracie Alison Hall, our main hall and gallery. It’s the focal point for exhibitions, lectures, and social gatherings, and an impressive setting for displaying members’ work and hosting exhibitions of International acclaim.
Alongside it are three further gallery spaces — the Adamson Gallery, the Hill Gallery, and the Sandy Cleland Room, which also serves as a comfortable meeting space for workshops, discussions and smaller events.
Together, these rooms provide a flexible and inspiring environment for showcasing photography and encouraging collaboration.
We occasionally offer rooms for hire. If you would like further details, please use the Contact Form
