PSA 2025-26 Interclub Competition
You will find the results so far for this years PSA interclub competition on this page. Do lookout for emails and announcements to participate in subsequent rounds.
Members’ images with (HM) received an Honorary Mention award and (M) in the title received a Merit award.
The Round 1 results for the Photographic Society of America Interclub Competition have been announced. Results and Standings spreadsheets are attached. Thanks to all who provided images. We selected 18 different EPS authors in this round. A reminder that we are now in the top Group A in all three Divisions we enter (Colour, Mono and Nature). There are 4 to 6 Groups in each Division with some 20+ Clubs in each Group. So that’s well over 100 Clubs around the world.
This year judging was on a scale of 1 to 9, so 27 was the maximum score for the 3 judges. PSA attributed each number on the scale with a description of the standard expected. Titles of the images were not given to the judges this year which personally I found a little strange, especially in Nature.
In Colour we lie 18th from 24 clubs so there is room to move up! It would only have taken a few more points to do so. Last year we were 6th from 26, but that was in Group B. Congratulations to Doug Berndt who received an HM for “Vincent”.
In Mono we have had an amazing rise from Group D to Group A in 3 years. We have more than justified that by lying 6th from the 23 clubs in Round 1.
Congratulations are due to Dave Reid and myself who both received Merit awards for the images “And Then There Were Three” and “Caught Behind” respectively.
Nature is a tough section with some amazing images at this level. In this round we are 16th from 23 clubs. Well done to Rosemary Gilles who received a Merit for “Clownfish And Anemone”.
I will send out certificates to the awarded members. A reminder of our entries is below. We still have a lot of images to choose from for Rounds 2 and 3 but if you have recently taken a very good image, or have recently received an award, and would like to have it considered for the later rounds please feel free to send it to me (note max size 1920 x 1080).
Meanwhile EPS acted as a Host judge for Nature in Round 1. Our 3 judges were myself, Jim Moir and Lesley Simpson. We judged 126 images in Nature Group B. We submitted our scores separately on-line which were then collated at PSA level. There was then a zoom call with the Nature Group Competition Director (who happens to be the Indian Photographer of the Year 2024 !) when we discussed and confirmed which images should receive Merits and HMs. Our Certificate of Appreciation as a Host Club is attached.
